In 1975, as a ski instructor and college student at the newly developed Wintergreen Resort, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Jeffery W. Caudill had a dream to one day return home to the area of his youth. Caudill’s life took many twists and varied turns, but 30 years later, he decided that it was time to come back to “his mountains” and give that dream a fresh, clean breath of life. Winterwoods Homes was incorporated in January 2007. Caudill founded the company on a business model that partners Winterwoods Homes with a team of industry hardened professionals including Slifer Designs, Shades of Light, Antique Cabins and Barns, and Wyatt Childs, Inc. Prior to the creation of Winterwoods Homes, Mr. Caudill spent more than 20 years of his career in the investment advisory and financial services industry. During this time, he worked with individuals and a variety of banking, for profit, and non-profit corporations, managing over $500,000,000 in assets.
